Optimized charging
If you are an Atlantic City Electric residential electric supply customer who charges your Tesla, Toyota, Lexus, Hyundai, or Kia EV at home with a qualified level 2 charger, the EVsmart Off-Peak Charging Credit can earn you a per kWh charging credit for all net off-peak charging (8 p.m. to 8 a.m. EST, Monday to Friday). Participation rules
  • You must be at least 18 years of age
  • You must have one or more Devices that are compatible with and connected to the DER Vendor platform (“Service”) and compatible with the Program design
  • You must maintain an active account in good standing on the Service and a continuous connection between your enrolled Electric Vehicle, Devices and the Service
  • You must have an active residential electric account with your Program Administrator and receive your electricity supply as part of the Electric Vehicle Basic Generation Service (BGS) Rider
  • You must ensure that the vehicle being enrolled is not already participating in the Off Peak Charging Credit program, via charger or vehicle telematics options; a customer whose vehicle is already enrolled will receive an application rejection notice for the new application because the vehicle is already enrolled in the program

Which EVs are eligible for the Atlantic City Electric Off-Peak Charging Credit?

The Off-Peak Charging Credit program is available to select models of Tesla, Kia, Hyundai, Toyota, and Lexus electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids.

To qualify for the program, you must charge your vehicle at home with an Energy Star certified Level 2 residential home charging station.

How does the Atlantic City Electric Off-Peak Charging Credit program work?

The EVsmart Off-Peak Charging Credit is making electric vehicle (EV) adoption more accessible, convenient and affordable.

If you are an Atlantic City Electric Residential electric supply customer through Basic Generation Service (BGS) who charges your Tesla, Toyota, Lexus, Hyundai, or Kia EV at home with a qualified level 2 charger,  the EVsmart Off-Peak Charging Credit can earn you a per kWh charging credit for all net off-peak charging (weekends and 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. EST Monday to Friday).

By participating in this program, you’ll earn $0.02 per kWh plus any associated sales and use tax (SUT) for all net off-peak charging. Peak hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST, Monday-Friday.

You’ll receive these rewards as a check delivered twice per calendar year, totaling the net off-peak charging credit for every 6-month period.

How does WeaveGrid collect and use data?

After creating a WeaveGrid account, you will be prompted to sign into your EV account to establish a connection between your vehicle and WeaveGrid.

WeaveGrid then receives your vehicle data in order to provide the program experience and benefits.

This EV data includes information such as how much EV charging has occurred, when EV charging occurs, and whether EV charging occurred at home or away from home.

WeaveGrid is committed to securing users’ data. While we may share relevant EV data with your energy company in order to facilitate program participation, we do not share your EV or personal data with third parties.
